Frequently
Asked Questions
- Why is this
site called Small Business Phone Systems, yet much of the information
and links mention, or end up at the Power Systems website?
Small Business Phone
Systems is an authorized affiliate of Power Systems owned by Ad
Wizards Internet Services. We have found that is most cases it is
easier to maintain quality control by having our customers deal directly
with Power Systems when it comes to purchasing a product or when requiring
assistance.
- Is it safe to
order from your store?
Absolutely! This site
uses secure transaction processing (128 bit SSL encryption), your information
is safe and confidential. Please reference our privacy
policy. We are also a member of the BBB, Dallas TX chapter. We've been
doing business online since 1998.
- Can I get any
deals on a large order?
Give us a call or write
us an email and maybe we can work something out.
Actually, it's not very
hard, but there is a LOT of functionality. Most displays that show more
than one product can be sorted by clicking on the heading for a column.
Use the horizontal bar near the top (that starts with "Home") to go back
up in the menu structure, or use the category menu on the left hand side.
You can also use the drop down category or manufacturer menus. Shopping
by category provides additional information not seen when shopping via other
methods.
- Won't my homeowners
insurance cover surge damage?
It will likely NOT cover
surge damage. It probably covers lightning damage, BUT, the claims process
is very difficult in most cases and many of today's insurance policies have
very high deductibles. Additionally, most insurance companies require notarized
statements for each and every piece of equipment damaged from an authorized
repair shop, and the pieces MUST show signs of lightning damage. It's an
extremely time consuming process and can be frustrating to say the least.
- Do your products
come with a Manufacturer warranty?
Yes they do, ALL of
our products carry a manufacturer warranty. We are currently not listed
on Monster Cables eMonster page, but you can find us by searching for Power
Systems. We buy direct from Monster, meaning our units come with the full
Monster warranty in effect. Most Panamax and Monster equipment sold at low
prices on the internet does NOT come with a full warranty. All other products
including all home theater products and telecom products also come with
the full manufacturere warranty.
- Do you stock
your products?
Most of our products
are stocked on site or in one of our other locations. Items out of stock
take an extra 2-3 days in general, if we cannot arrange for a drop shipment.
- What if I want
a product that is not listed on this web site?
We can sometimes get
other products not listed. Simply drop us an email, we cannot tell you on
the phone if we can get a product not listed here, but we do have access
to over 10,000 products in consumer electronics and telecom product lines!
- Can I place
an order by phone?
We are set up for fastest
processing via the internet. If you find it necessary or convenient to order
by phone, you may call us at (866) 440-0771 toll free. Please keep
in mind though that tracking information is not as convenient for you when
ordering through non-internet methods, please do not expect it to be!
- Why is there
no warranty registration card with my unit?
Many manufacturers no
longer use warranty cards, Panamax does not for example. You do need to
keep your receipt of purchase though.
- I have an 8
plug surge protector. What happens if I need more than 8 AC connections?
You have several choices.
It is acceptable to hook devices up to AC plugs on devices connected to
your surge protector. For example, you might plug your computer monitor
into your PC, which is in turn plugged into the surge protector. You can
save some AC connections that way. If you still do not have enough, then
your only choice would be to daisy chain surge protectors. It is also ok
to plug a surge protector, say with 8 plugs, into a surge protector which
has 8 plugs. This would give you 15 connections. But be sure and daisy chain
them, it is NOT ok to plug both surge protectors into two different wall
outlets separately, while trying to protect interconnected equipment in
most cases. Contact us if you have any questions about your configuration.
Your best bet is to simply use the cheapest strip protector from the same
manufacurer and connect it to your other, better grade surge protector.

site is an affiliate of Power Systems.
